This post had a much better, alliterative title. I decided to keep it family-friendly, but you can use your imagination.
Dickens was a surprise birthday present from my husband (and it certainly was a surprise, as the hubby is normally the one desperately trying to pump the brakes of my runaway animal-collecting-train), a replacement for our darling old lady of a donkey who was euthanized in March.
He’s a doll with people, but is seriously lacking in the social skills required to live with other horses. He’s getting better, thanks to some full-sized horse mares that will not tolerate his nonsense, but it’s looking to be a much longer road than expected.
Hopefully, one day soon, I’ll write a start-to-finish post on the taming of Dickens and be able to include lots of happy photos of him with the other horses. For now though, here he is in donkey jail, waiting for his dinner.
He is awfully cute though 🙂
